Chores with Friends

Privacy at Chores with Friends

Chores with Friends lets close friends see when you’re free to talk. We keep as little as we can.

What we store

The first name you type, your phone number if you add it, the names and numbers of friends you add, the invite links you make, whether you’re available (and for how long, and which chore), whether you’re on a call, and a push token so we can tell friends you’re free. Your account is anonymous: no email, no password.

Who sees it

Only friends you’ve connected with (by invite link) see your name, number and availability. Friends see that you’re on a call, never who with. Nobody can search for you.

Contacts

When you pick a friend from your contacts, we read just that one contact. On Android, picking asks for contacts access first; we still read only the one you pick, and you can always type a name instead. We never upload your address book.

Who processes it

Cloudflare hosts our database. Expo and Apple deliver push notifications. We don’t sell data, show ads or track you.

Deleting

In the app, tap your face, then “Delete my data”. Your account, friendships, invites and number are deleted from our servers right away. If you deleted the app first, email us and we’ll remove it.
